Hello! I am Johan Bergström, a craftsman residing in Arvidsjaur, Swedish Lapland, with a lifelong passion for creation. On this page, you will find a collection of my most impressive pieces, crafted through the years with a love for details and quality. My craftsmanship journey began in the 1980s, when I made my first knife inspired by Zeb Macahans knife.
With the help of my grandfather, Frans Bergström, who was a skilled knife maker, I developed my skills and techniques. After his passing in 1991, I inherited his tools and materials, strengthening my interest and love for craftsmanship. During the 1990s, I specialized in knife making, but later I also began making unique wooden sami cups and jewelry. In 2005, I acquired a lathe and began exploring turning, leading to new possibilities and techniques.
I draw inspiration from the Sami craft tradition and use only materials from the forests around Arvidsjaur, such as willow burl, birch burl, reindeer and elk horn. The blades of my knives are made by the skilled blacksmith Gunnar Bergström. Each piece is carefully selected and signed with JB, testimony of my dedication and love for craftsmanship.
If you are looking for unique and durable crafts, don't hesitate to take a closer look at my collection. You will be amazed by the finesse, skill and craftsmanship love that goes into each object.
